We will have our theme review for "Amazing Animals". We will be comparing fiction and nonfiction stories about dinosaurs. Many of the children will remember the Tomie DePaola selection from last year when Mr. DePoala was the author of the month.
The comprehension strategy we will focus on is questioning.
Our vocabulary words are: disaster, earthquake, erupting, lava, pitch, volcano, allergic, rumbling.
The phonics skills will cover words with nd, nt, mp, and nk. We will review vowel pairs oa and ow.
The grammar lessons will focus on singular possessive nouns and plural possessive nouns.
